Introducing the Newest High Resolution Imaging Satellite WorldView-4

New Year, New Satellite!

WorldView-4; the newest addition to DigitalGlobe's constellation of six high resolution satellites, was successfully launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California on November 11, 2016. WorldView-4 is one of DigitalGlobe's most agile satellites, capable of imaging upwards of 680,000 km2 per day from an altitude of 617km. This amount of collection capacity allows for quicker revisit times making WorldView-4 ideal for global site & asset monitoring and change detection projects.

Together with the WorldView-3 sensor, WorldView-4 will provide the highest resolution and most accurate imagery of any other satellite constellation commercially available. With a maximum resolution of 30 cm (12 in) and uncorrected positional accuracy of 4 meter CE90%, WV4 can save your project time and money. With the addition of geodetic control, centimeter positional accuracy can be achieved.

New Tasking & Archived imagery from WorldView-4 is expected to be available in the second half of 2017.
