Interesting Client Projects and Other Finds

In this section of our website, eMap will feature interesting geospatial projects, websites, photographs and other finds our clients make.  If you have ideas or would like to add some items to this site, let us know – we would be happy to hear from you!  You can reach us at bmccarty@emap-int.com (Brock Adam McCarty, VP).

I made this video as the final project for a class on 3D animation. It depicts the launch of SpaceX’s Falcon 1 launch vehicle from Kwajalein Atoll. eMap helped me by supplying a small satellite picture of the island in question, which saved me months of modeling to make all of the island in 3D. eMap also helped me by providing the tile at a cost that was within my limited student’s budget.”

Thank You,

Student, Red Rocks Community College

This features comes from our friends at Yale University, specifically their Golf Coach Colin Sheehan.  The links below will take you to three PDFs featuring the oldest aerial imagery eMap has ever seen.  The images were collected in 1934 by Fairchild Aerial Surveys and feature three Connecticut golf courses.  Hope you enjoy the views of the greens – looks like I would shot a 100+ on any of these courses!
