David Nale

President/CEO CP/CMS/PLS

David is a Certified Photogrammetrist, Certified Mapping Scientist and Professional Land Surveyor (licensed in multiple states). For over 30 years he has been in direct responsible charge of major Photogrammetric, LiDAR, Geodetic Surveying, and Satellite Imagery projects on a global basis. These assignments include the LiDAR mapping of the entire country of Switzerland, Obstruction Analysis for hundreds of international and domestic airports, tasking of DigitalGlobe/GeoEye, Astrium and RapidEye imaging satellites and completion of mapping and orthophoto projects from these satellite images. In addition David serves on the Board of Directors of Optech and Woolpert and is an member of the Advisory Board for the Penn State Masters in GIS Program. dnale@emap-int.com

Kimberly Nale

Geospatial Analyst and Project Manager

Kimberly is a Geography graduate from the University of Florida and has worked with geospatial companies producing orthorectified satellite and aerial imagery. She has worked in various capacities and has unique experience and knowledge of the satellite imagery industry from specifications development to project management, satellite product tasking, and product delivery. Ms. Nale works with clients to understand each customer’s technical requirements and capabilities; and then translated these into product recommendations and deliverables. As a project manager she works closely with numerous satellite and aerial imagery companies specifying and securing imagery and LiDAR for national and international projects. knale@emap-int.com

Jen Dubrow

Geospatial Analyst and Project Manager

Jennifer is a Geography graduate from the University of Denver and presently completing her Masters in Geography. She is an IFSAR specialist writing specifications and managing major nationwide IFSAR projects. As well as working with IFSAR, Jennifer is an imagery analyst and has worked extensively managing, procuring and delivering commercial satellite imagery. In her role as an imagery specialist she works with national and international clients providing satellite and aerial imagery and as an imagery analyst interpreting imagery. jdubrow@emap-int.com

wtc_9_15_01_ikonosLaunched on September 24, 1999, IKONOS was the first commercial satellite able to collect sub-meter imagery with 0.80-meter panchromatic and 3.2-meter multispectral resolution. IKONOS was also the most agile satellite in the industry surpassed only recently by GeoEye-1 and WorldView-1/2. The agility of IKONOS combined with its longevity translates into one of the most robust high resolution satellite imagery archives available.

Pleiades_Everest_02012012_clipPléiades 1A was launched on December 16, 2011, and was joined by its twin, Pléiades 1B, on December 2, 2012. The Pléiades twin sensors provide 50-cm optical imagery products in record time. This is thanks to the system’s incredible agility, responsiveness and unprecedented collection capabilities, including five acquisition modes, minimal collection conflicts, and a maximum acquisition capacity of one million square kilometers per satellite, per day. In addition, the Pléiades satellites will work together in a phased orbit to offer daily revisit to any point on the globe.

Offering an unparalleled eight bands of 1.84-meter multispectral data plus a 0.46-meter panchromatic band, WorldView-2 will expand the possibilities of remotely sensed data for vegetative studies; bathymetric research; supervised and unsupervised classifications; and all other high-end spectral analysis techniques. WorldView-2 not only offers increased spectral information, it also has industry leading accuracy, agility and data storage capacity truly putting this satellite into a class of its own.

wv31200The WorldView-3 satellite sensor was licensed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to collect in addition to the standard Panchromatic and Multispectral bands, eight-band short-wave infrared (SWIR) and 12 CAVIS imagery. The satellite was successfully launched on August 13, 2014. WorldView-3 satellite sensor is the first multi-payload, super-spectral, high-resolution commercial satellite sensor operating at an altitude of 617 km. WorldView-3 provides 31 cm panchromatic resolution, 1.24 m multispectral resolution, 3.7 m short wave infrared resolution and 30 m CAVIS resolution. WorldView-3 has an average revisit time of <1 day and is capable of collecting up to 680,000 km2 per day.

Value-Add Processing Options

Digital Surface Model (DSM) – a representation of the earth’s surface that includes all objects on it (e.g. man-made features, vegetation, etc.).
Digital Terrain Model (DTM) – a representation of the earth’s bare ground surface without any objects on it.
Topographic Breaklines – a line in an elevation model that represents a distinct interruption in the slope of a surface, such as a ridge, road, or stream.
Topographic Mapping (Contour Lines) – a Map that shows relief through differences in lines where each line represents an equal value of elevation along a curve.
Planimetric Mapping – a map indicating only the horizontal positions of features, without regard to elevation.
Volumetric Calculations – a measurement of the total volume of a three dimensional feature using a base elevation surface and a surface representing the volume being measured.
Viewshed (Line of Sight) Analysis – a map derived from an elevation model that determines which areas are visible from a specific location.
